Keep playing. Keep developing.
As players get older, weekly coaching continues alongside league football at selected age groups.
For the 2026 to 2027 season, Under 12s play in the Kent Valley League, while Under 13s and Under 15s play in the JPL. At 16, the focus begins to turn towards the opportunity to continue into open age football with GT7 Ladies.

The GT7 philosophy
More than developing football skills
The GT7 philosophy recognises that development is physical and mental. Football gives young players opportunities to test themselves, deal with mistakes, work with others and grow in confidence.
The aim is not simply to become a better footballer, but to give players an environment where they can enjoy the game and see what they are capable of.
Confidence
Feeling comfortable enough to get involved, have a go and express yourself on the pitch.
Resilience
Learning from mistakes and understanding that development does not happen in a straight line.
Teamwork
Learning your role within a team and recognising what you can bring to the players around you.
Development
Getting the coaching and football environment that helps you progress at your own stage.

A future in the game
Football does not have to stop at 16
GT7 created its Ladies team in the 2021 to 2022 season after recognising there was a gap locally for girls who wanted to continue playing.
When GT7 players turn 16, they can be invited to sign for the Ladies team and play in the Lancashire Women’s County League Premier. Ten players have already made the move from the youth programme into GT7 Ladies.
